The house

A look around

The house

Arranged so that everyone fits, and everyone can find a corner.

Designed to comfortably accommodate groups of up to eighteen, this 3,000-square-foot home balances gathering areas with personal space. All six bedrooms span the length of the house along a single central hallway, creating a clean, easy-flowing layout. A fully equipped kitchen caters to real cooking, while three-and-a-half bathrooms keep morning routines running smoothly. The bed setup (ten total, including 3 fold-out options) ideally suits a mixed group of adults and children—comfortably hosting up to fourteen adults with children filling out the rest.

The main house is single story. All six bedrooms are on one floor, and there are no stairs at the entry.

If you need room for more than eighteen, please let us know the number of guests when you inquire, and we will confirm exactly what is available for your dates.

The barn is where the children end up — old and young alike — and none of them want to leave.

A pool table, shuffleboard, air hockey, custom interactive basketball, a custom interactive race track, a putting green, giant Connect 4, Xbox Series S with four controllers, a 150” projection screen and half a dozen arcade games on free play. It’s the perfect place for the family to gather and play.

It is the easiest room in the world to lose an afternoon in,
at any age.

Four acres

There is a lot of ground here, and it's all yours.

The pool and spa sit together in one fully gated area we call the Oasis, with wine grape covered fencing, and mature King Palms shading the gathering spots around it. It stays open year round and warms up on its own through the summer. Outside those months it can be heated upon request — ask us for seasonal rates, and give us about five days’ notice for heating in cold months. Two hours of heated spa are included every day, at no charge.

Dinner happens in the corral under string lights, and the evening usually ends at the fire pit. There are disc golf baskets, there are lawn games, and there is a greenhouse and planted grounds to walk and explore.

The animals are the part most guests remember. Peacocks, ducks and hens, all of them used to visitors. In February through May a seasonal pond fills at the bottom of the property.

The question everybody actually asks

What do we do all day if we never leave?

Whoever wakes first walks to the farm store and comes back with eggs. Somebody cooks. We meet you out at the Chicken Garden if you want to get your own eggs and meet the birds. The children can guess which hen laid which egg before running off across the four acres.

The pool opens whenever the first person opens the gate. The barn opens whenever a child wants it, which is most of the afternoon. By the middle of the day your group has usually scattered across the property and found its own rhythm — some in the water, some in the barn, some playing catch, and others doing nothing but swinging in the breeze on the huge front porch.

By evening it's the spa, smores by the fire, or adventuring out to the barn for a final game of billiards or darts. And not a single person left or drove anywhere. That is the point.

On the property, not in town

The farm stand is a sixty-second walk from the back door.

Mini Barn Market sits at the back entrance of the ranch. Guests wander over in pajamas for eggs and sourdough before anyone else is up. There are seasonal vegetables, baked goods, pasture-raised meats, fresh juices and honey. Inventory changes daily, Carissa's farm stand updates (Instagram) are an exciting way to catch our famous ice cream sandwiches before they sell out.

Mini Barn Market is our highest-rated, most viral venture, and it's a short walk from where you are sleeping.

The practical part

Internet across the whole property, and a house that runs itself.

Cox Fiber, Starlink & Verizon Internet is deployed redundantly across the property via our Ubiquity mesh network. Internet reaches the main house, the front yard, the bird garden, the pool, the barn and Mini Barn Market. You can disappear to just about any corner on the property and still grab Internet.

Four of the six bedrooms have a smart TV, and the primary bedroom TV is tucked away inside the armoire. Two rooms are left without one on purpose — one of them has a wall of books and a desk instead — for anyone who would rather do without. The barn has a 150 inch projection system with ROKU for family movie nights.

Exterior doors are on a digital lock with keypad, so there is no key to hand over or lose. The irrigation, the outdoor lighting and the barn lighting are all automated. The Oasis pool and spa run from our phones — text or message to tell us when you would like them warm and they will be ready when you arrive.

The ranch runs on solar. There is no specific EV charger on-site, but we do have a 120 volt, 30 amp RV style 3 prong circuit at the back of the barn that can be used. Inquire for access.

One less thing to pack

The little ones are looked after before you arrive.

Three pack-n-plays, high chairs, and a good supply of toys. The pool and spa are inside one fully gated area. The main house has no stairs. Groups often arrive here with five or six children under five, and the property is set up for exactly that.

The bathrooms and the laundry room are stocked too — shampoo, conditioner, hand and body soap, and laundry soap. They are chemical-free, and what we use ourselves. Bring your own if there is something you are loyal to; plenty of people do. But we supply the good stuff, and we hope you like them. Some of what we make — the body and face soaps among them — is for sale at Mini Barn Market if you want to take some home.

Your hosts

We live on the ranch. How much you see of us is up to you.

You will probably spot us coming and going from the bird garden — the animals need tending whether there are guests here or not. It also means the birds, the gardens and the farm store come with someone glad to show you around.

How much interaction you want is entirely your call. Some groups would rather have the place to themselves for the week, and we stay out of the way. Others want a bird tour, or to walk the garden and see how the plants grow, put seeds in willing hands, or pick whatever is ripe. Just tell us when you arrive. This is a micro-farm stay, and our job is to make it the one you came for.
