​Mountain Retreat is a recently remodeled home in a private and enchanting park-like setting.  Nestled at the base of Iron Mountain next to 100 foot pine trees, this retreat style property has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is situated on 8 acres. Enjoy endless entertainment in the upscale 80’s style game room, hot tub, BBQ grill, fire pit, regulation horseshoe pit and other outdoor games.  Dos Picos Park is a short walk away and there are 6 neighborhood wineries within 3 miles.  Additionally, you will find local farm stands and seasonal u-pick fruit orchards, many local artisans, horseback riding, hiking, and outdoor exploring. Ramona is only a short jump from all of the other activities that the greater San Diego Region has to offer. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is just 10 miles away.  Sea World, LegoLand, The San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp District, Little Italy, Old Towne, and fantastic beaches are all within a short 35 minute drive. If you enjoy a challenging game of Golf, Mt. Woodson Golf course is just two miles away and offers fantastic views.

This expansive property consists of 2 separate structures. The Main House and the Game Room with a combined indoor space of 2700 sq ft.

 

Main House
 

This is a one story, 4 bedroom home with 3 bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The home has a full size refrigerator/freezer with a medium size refrigerator/freezer in the gameroom. There are two small stairs to enter the main home.
Bedroom 1 - Master bedroom w/ king size bed. In-suite bathroom with walk in shower and jet tub.
Bedroom 2 - 2nd master w/ Queen size bed and fold down couch. In-suite bathroom with walk in shower.
Bedroom 3 - Two queen sized beds.
Bedroom 4 - Full over full bunk beds with 40” TV & fold down couch.

The GameRoom is 700 square foot entertainment paradise that includes the following.

- Professional Air Hockey

- Rod hockey table

There are no stairs to enter the GameRoom. This space does not central heat/AC. There is a roll up garage door and two large fans. The GameRoom is a great space for the family to congregate, watch movies, play games and relax.

Get ready to enjoy a lazy afternoon on the back porch with amazing views of our “Megalith” rock formation towering 500 feet above.  After a leisurely morning, spend the afternoon hiking on one of the many famous hiking trails nearby. Work up an appetite conquering Potato Chip rock and then settle into the afternoon with an invigorating dip in the hot tub.  Golfers can visit the captivating course at Mt. Woodson Golf Club or San Vicente Resort and Golf Club. Ramona is the new Southern California wine country, offering many local estate wines that are like no other. From the house it is a short drive to Mahogany Mountain, Rashelica, Principe di Tricase, Cactus Star Vineyard, Mermaid Winery, and Woof'n Rose Winery. There are over 30 wineries located within a 10 mile radius, making wine tours and tasting adventures easily accessible. While Ramona feels like you are a world away from civilization, you are within a 35 minute drive of any and all of the attractions within the greater San Diego area. This is a lovely jumping off point to visit the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, LegoLand, The Safari Park, Balboa Park, Gaslamp, Del Mar and La Jolla Beaches, Coronado or apple pie tasting in Julian.
